How Can Amblyopia Be Detected?

Amblyopia cannot be detected by parents. It can only appear though detailed visual test. There is no a particular age for the visual test. A child with complaint is surveyed no matter his/her age. In cases the child does not allow to inspection, hypogenetic, tranquillizer drugs are used. Unless productive results can be obtained by those, then inspection is completed by giving a general anaesthesia. Although children have no complaint, they should be inspected through a visual test at least once until they are at the age of 3-4. There is a huge rate of success in amblyopia detected earlier.
