Pamukkale is a natural locality within the boundaries of Denizli province in the southwest of Turkey. The city includes hot springs and carbonate mineral travertine terraces created by running waters. It is located in Menderes River valley which is located in the Aegean region of Turkey and has the moderate climatic conditions. The ancient Hierapolis city was built on the white “castle” which is 2700 meters in length, 600 meters in width and 160 meters in height.  Pamukkale can be seen from the hills on the opposite site of the valley located in Denizli center which is located 20 km away.  

The ancient Laodicea city is located 5-10 km away from it. 5 km away takes place the Karahayit village, which is an international thermal center. Pamukkale is on the World Heritage list determined by UNESCO. Travertine terraces offer visual richness as well as cure to heart disease, rheumatism, skin and eye disorders.
